TN CM Vijay’s cutest moment of the day: 'Jana Nayagan' actor plays with Kirti Chakra awardee’s baby - Watch video

Actor-politician and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay recently met Lance Naik Meenatchi Sundaram, who was awarded the prestigious Kirti Chakra for his courage in the line of duty. During the meeting, Vijay honoured the soldier with a cheque of Rs 48 lakh in recognition of his service to the nation. Meenatchi Sundaram, who belonged to the 34 Rashtriya Rifles, was wounded by bullets during an anti-terrorist activity in Kulgam, South Kashmir, in December 2024. Despite his injuries, he continued fighting, earning praise across the country and receiving the award from President Droupadi Murmu earlier this month.

Vijay, playing with soldier’s baby, wins hearts online

While the event itself was a touching one, it was Vijay’s interaction with the soldier’s baby that captured everyone’s attention. After posing for photographs with the family, Vijay was seen immediately picking up the child and spending time playing with the baby. Videos from the meeting show him smiling warmly, carrying the baby in his arms, and even sitting on his chair with the little one on his lap. The charming sequences quickly became popular through social networking sites owing to Vijay’s fans, who valued the actor’s affectionate attitude towards kids.

Fans call Vijay’s gesture the cutest moment of the day

Numerous fans appreciated Vijay’s adorable behavior through their social media posts. One fan wrote, “Thalapathy Vijay with kids is always special,” while another called it the “cutest video of the day.” Many others commented that Vijay’s genuine affection for children has always been one of his most admired qualities, making the latest video yet another memorable moment for fans.

‘Jana Nayagan’ faces delay in release

On the professional front, Vijay’s much-awaited film ‘Jana Nayagan’ is yet to hit theatres. The film had originally been planned to come out some time ago; however, the movie has been delayed on account of several problems during certification. The movie had to go to the revising committee after objections arose regarding its certification. To make matters worse, there was a leak of the HD copy of the film in April, which resulted in several arrests. Nonetheless, fans are still looking forward to watching the film that may turn out to be Vijay’s last one before he enters politics.
