An action-comedy entertainer, ‘Vaa Vaathiyar features Karthi as a cop, raised on the ideals of late superstar MG Ramachandran, instilled in him by his father. The film also has actors Rajkiran, Sathyaraj, Anandaraj, Karunakaran, GM Sundar, Shilpa Manjunath, and Ramesh Thilak in pivotal roles.Talking to PTI earlier, Karthi said that he almost said ‘no’ to the film, as he was anxious about how it will come out. “Just thinking about it made me sleepless at nights. The thought that I might offend MGR’s hardcore fans by my acting made me scared. But then, I also know that growth comes when we face our fears.
