Udit Narayan’s first wife accuses him of removing her uterus

Udit Narayan’s first wife Ranjana files complaint, accuses him of removing her uterus without her consent under the pretext of medical treatment

Popular Bollywood playback singer Udit Narayan has once again landed in controversy after his first wife, Ranjana, filed a complaint at the Women’s Police Station in Bihar’s Supaul, alleging that her uterus was removed without her knowledge under the pretext of medical treatment.According to NDTV, Ranjana reached the police station on Tuesday along with her advocate, Karunakant Jha, and submitted a formal application. In her complaint, she accused Udit Narayan, his two brothers — Sanjay Kumar Jha and Lalit Narayan Jha — and his second wife Deepa Narayan of being part of a criminal conspiracy.

Marriage, separation and second wedding claims

In her application, Ranjana identified herself as the 61-year-old daughter of Chandrakant Jha from Supaul district. She stated that she married Udit Narayan on December 7, 1984, following Hindu customs and rituals. She claimed that in 1985, Udit moved to Mumbai to pursue his singing career. During this time, she allegedly came to know through media reports that he had married Deepa Narayan. However, she alleged that whenever she confronted him, he denied or misled her.

Allegation of surgery without consent

Ranjana further alleged that in 1996, Udit and his brothers took her to a major hospital in Delhi on the pretext of medical treatment. It was during this visit, she claimed, that her uterus was removed without her consent or knowledge. She also alleged that Deepa Narayan was present at the hospital at the time. She stated that she only discovered the removal years later during subsequent medical treatment, which left her shocked and distressed.

Allegations of abuse and neglect

Ranjana also alleged that in 2006, when she went to Mumbai, she was abused by Udit and Deepa and was not allowed to enter their residence. She later visited her in-laws’ home in Nepal, where she claimed she was insulted and forced to leave. Since then, she has reportedly been living at her parental home. She said she had earlier approached the Family Court in Supaul and the Women’s Commission. According to her, Udit had accepted her as his wife and even submitted a compromise agreement, but she alleged that he failed to honour his commitments or provide her support.

“I deserve justice,” says Ranjana

Speaking to the media, Ranjana said she was compelled to approach the police again as repeated assurances allegedly yielded no results.“You all know that Udit Narayan ji repeatedly makes promises but does not fulfil them. He has not done anything till now, which is why I have come to the Women’s Police Station. I deserve justice,” she said. She added, “When we went to the Women’s Commission, they initially refused to accept our complaint. After we submitted a written application, it was accepted. But even today, he continues to deceive me. Whenever he comes to the village, he makes the same promises again.”“Nowadays, I am constantly unwell and need his support. But Udit Narayan is neither saying anything nor doing anything. He came to the village recently and left after making promises once again,” she claimed.Ranjana further stated that the matter is already pending in court and that although Udit appeared there, she alleged that no concrete action has been taken so far.

Police response

Meanwhile, Anju Tiwari, officer-in-charge of the Women’s Police Station, confirmed that the complaint has been received. She noted that the incidents mentioned date back nearly three decades. She added that the matter is currently under investigation. An FIR will be registered based on the facts that emerge, and further action will be taken accordingly. Go to Source
