Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab's USD 10 million deal for North America

Prabhas’s upcoming film The Raja Saab generates market interest. Hindi distribution rights are secured for 75 crore rupees. OTT rights exceed 100 crore rupees. North American breakeven is pegged at USD 10 million. The film faces a release clash on January 9, 2026. Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan and other films release on the same date. Prabhas remains a top draw.

Post the success of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Prabhas has turned out to be one of the biggest crowd pullers not only in India but in North America as well which has been the biggest market for Telugu cinema outside of India. His latest The Raja Saab , a comedy-horror flick directed by Maruthi and co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar has already set the cash registers ringing as Hindi distributions has been picked up for Rs 75 crore and its OTT rights have been picked for over Rs 100 crore.Prabhas plays dual role in the film and is a big departure from his over the top action films like Kalki 2898 AD, Saaho and Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire. Now if rumours are to be believed that breakeven point for North American distribution deal has been pegged at US 10 million making it the second highest deal for a Prabhas starrer post Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. Kalki had gone to mint USD 18.57 million in the circuit.

Prabhas has been the biggest draw in the circuit with two of his films being present in the Top 5 all time Telugu grossers, at number 1 spot is Baahubali 2- The Conclusion which minted USD 22 million and 2nd spot is taken by Kalki 2898 AD with USD 18.57 million. Also if one look at top 15 films, 12th spot is taken by Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire with USD 8.94 million and 14th spot is with Baahubali- The Beginning with USD 8.48 million. Despite being the biggest draw it’s release on 9th January 2026 wont be smooth ride as on the same date multiple films are releasing and the biggest among them is Thalapathy Vijay’s final film Jana Nayagan with Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol. The other films releasing on the same day are Anaganaga Oka Raju with Naveen Polishetty and Meenkashi Chaudhary then there is Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu with Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara.Prabhas is expected to start Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit with Triptii Dimri from November this year, he would be undergoing a major transformation for this cop drama.
