According to the latest report by the Ilgan Sports outlet, the actor has been sentenced to 1 year in prison regarding his ongoing DUI investigation. The final verdict, which was served to him by Judges Yang Eun Sang and Heo Jun Seo of the 11th Criminal Division of the Seoul Western District Court on April 9. The verdict also dictates that he pay an overall fine of KRW 1.00 million, which roughly amounts to USD 676.Taehyun was officially found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol and directly breached the Road Traffic Act.

The Judges also explained the reasoning behind the 1 year prison sentence as per the report. They cited that the fact he was a repeat offender and had earlier been apprehended for driving under the influence was taken into consideration. Furthermore, the recent crime had also occurred while the idol was already serving probation for an older drug charge, where he had violated the Narcotics Control Act.
