‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ has secured a fifth season, rewarding fans of the gripping legal drama starring Manuel Eduardo Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller. Adapted from Michael Connelly’s novels, the series tracks Manuel Eduardo Garcia-Rulfo’s portrayal of the charismatic defense attorney who solves cases from his Lincoln car’s backseat.Co-showrunners shared the exciting news. They said, “We’re so excited to share the upcoming season with the audience on Feb. 5, and even more excited to share the news that we’re already hard at work on the next one. Season 4 is the most challenging and intensely personal journey we’ve taken Mickey Haller on yet, and we’re thrilled and grateful to be able to continue the ride in Season 5,” to Tudum. Season 5 features 10 episodes, with filming starting in March 2026 in Los Angeles. Release expectations point to February or March 2027, matching the show’s yearly cadence.

‘The Lincoln Lawyer Season 5’: Storyline from Resurrection Walk

Season 5 draws from Resurrection Walk, Michael Connelly’s seventh ‘Lincoln Lawyer’ novel. Manuel Eduardo Garcia-Rulfo’s Mickey Haller, fresh from freeing a wrongfully convicted man, starts his own Innocence Project amid inmate appeals. He aids Lucinda Sanz, jailed for killing her ex-husband, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy. Questions of shoddy lawyering and police misconduct fuel the probe. This ties into season 4’s setup, where Manuel Eduardo Garcia-Rulfo’s character fought his own murder frame-up, sharpening his client perspective.

‘The Lincoln Lawyer Season 5’: Core cast returns and a sneak peek into the plot

Manuel Eduardo Garcia-Rulfo leads as Mickey Haller, with Neve Campbell Hamilton reprising Maggie McPherson, Becki Newton as Lorna Crane, Jazz Raycole as Izzy Letts, and Angus Sampson as Cisco Wojciechowski. Cobie Smulders joins as Allison J. Haller, Mickey Haller’s half-sister from season 4’s close; her sleuthing might echo Harry Bosch’s role in the book. Gigi Zumbado’s Grace Bilbao may bolster the firm, though Hayley Haller’s role shrinks with college life.

Actor reflections boost hype

Manuel Eduardo Garcia-Rulfo reflected on season 4’s weight, saying, “Every time I read it was very emotional, and it just feels heavier. As an actor, I’m drawn to that heaviness”, Manuel Eduardo Garcia-Rulfo told to Pause/Rewind entertainment reporter Constance Zimmer, whose Dana Berg exits, gasped at the finale: “I read that episode and I was like, I’m sorry, what?” In the same interview, she hinted at season 5’s personal stakes. Manuel Eduardo Garcia-Rulfo’s show dominated streaming charts, with season 3 amassing over 2 billion minutes viewed, justifying the swift greenlight.
