Speculation surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding reached new heights on Friday, after fans, neighbours and news outlets spotted a huge tent being constructed on the laws of a sea-facing property in Rhode Island.
White tent spotted at Rhode Island
According to TMZ, a large white tent appeared on the grounds of the Ocean House property this week, sparking speculation that the wedding was just around the corner. The white tent went up on the property, just a day after Swift’s friends were spotted arriving at her mansion. Besides the tent, video footage reportedly showed workers installing a wooden floor beneath the tent as setup continued.

As per TMZ, the star couple originally intended to host a major celebration at the Rhode Island resort. Although Ocean House has been linked to reports about Swift and Kelce’s nuptials, wedding planner Elizabeth Hall rubbished the reports, stating that the venue was booked for her client and not the celeb couple. On Friday, amid buzz news reports that the wedding prep was for the Swift-Kelce wedding, Hall took to her handle to post photos of the tent set up and wrote, “Tent is going up.” She also posted photos of the Ocean House property and wrote, “Arrived for Mr and Mrs wedding weekend.”

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Taylor and Travis have not yet filed for a marriage license in the Rhode Island town. Brian Patrick Kennedy, Speaker Pro Tempore of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, told the outlet that as of 4:30 pm on Thursday, no marriage license had been issued, for the upcoming weekend.According to Kennedy, obtaining a marriage license through the Westerly Town Clerk’s Office is generally a straightforward process with a relatively quick turnaround. He added that Rhode Island does not offer confidential marriage licenses, but that marriage records in the state are protected by law and are not publicly accessible.
