Tanya to celebrate Diwali with her family after 2 years

'Kill' actress Tanya Maniktala gears up to celebrate Diwali with her family; recalls 'Delhi ka khaana'

Tanya Maniktala packed her bags and went back home in Delhi for this festive season to celebrate Diwali with her parents after two years. With the chants of ‘nothing beats Delhi ka khana,’ the Bollywood actress is excited to catch up with her friends and spend time with her family.

Tanya Maniktala’s Diwali celebration

Maniktala revealed that the Diwali celebration has largely been virtual, as her sister lives in Australia and her two brothers live in the USA. “I’m just happy to be home for a week. The best part is sleeping endlessly in my ghar ka bed!” she said in an interview with Hindustan Times. As for her unique family tradition, the 28-year-old revealed that she and her family practice Sahaj Marg meditation, where they all meditate together. “That’s our puja, our aarti. For us, Diwali is about connection, and this is how we celebrate it,” she added. This kind of meditation is practiced in the Maniktala household, and many others join them during the week. Anyone aged 16 and above is free to join the sessions, and she looks forward to celebrating the festival with a group meditation whenever she is in Delhi. As for the celebration with friends, she revealed, “It’s always a low-key yet super-chilled celebration. Many of my friends are coming to Delhi, so I can’t wait to catch up.”

Tanya Maniktala: Comfort and Food

Tanya’s choice of style amounts to being simplistic with the salwar suit. Concluding her moments, where she revisited the whole Delhi Diwali vibes, the ‘Kill’ actress said, “I like to be comfortable at home. And of course, my chachiji’s makkhan malai is the highlight, nothing beats Dilli ka and ghar ka khaana!” Tanya Maniktala, who is renowned for her roles in ‘Flames,’ ‘Tooth Pari,’ ‘Loot Kaand,’ ‘A Suitable Boy,’ and many more, will be next seen in the OTT series ‘Pan Parda Zarda.’
