Kathryn Hahn is on her way to play her second iconic Disney witch! The actress has been confirmed to play the role of the iconic villain Mother Gothel in the upcoming live-action film, ‘Tangled’.

Early this January, Hahn was reportedly among the front-runners to be cast as the manipulative antagonist who raises Rapunzel as her own daughter and locks her in the tower to exploit her hair for its magical powers. Teasing fans before the big announcement, the actress notably updated her Instagram bio with the title of the film’s song ‘Mother Knows Best’. Buzz about her casting picked up after the official Disney handle replied to the post with the surprised eyes emoticon. The casting confirmation eventually came after Hahn shared a playful video of herself, revealing her “Outfit of the Day” which happened to be a T-shirt featuring images of Mother Gothel and the word ‘MOTHER’ printed on the top. “OOTD, Mother Gothel,” Hahn wrote in the caption. Reacting to the post, the Disney official handle tweeted, “You want her to be the bad guy? FINE.
