System Of A Down and Faith No More confirm 2027 tour in Australia and New Zealand

Faith No More and System of a Down are all set to go on tour next year together for the first time in a decade in Australia and New Zealand. (Instagram)

There had been rumors of System Of A Down and Faith No More going on tour for the past couple of days; however, now the bands have confirmed that they will be going on tour across four major dates in Australia and New Zealand in 2027! Here is what we know so far about the two rock bands and their comeback to Australia and New Zealand.

System Of A Down and Faith No More to tour Australia and New Zealand

Last week on Friday, fans and netizens alike had started spotting murals featuring the former band’s iconic hand symbol in various spaces across Sydney and Melbourne. Now, the bands have confirmed that the teasers and murals were there for a reason, as they will be going on tour in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Wellington during their January and February run next year. Taking to their Instagram accounts, the groups announced that they would be going on tour in 2027, and that the tickets are officially going to go on sale for the general public on Friday, July 31 at 10 am (Sydney), 11 am (Melbourne and Wellington), and 12 pm (Brisbane). On the other hand, the pre-sale for the tickets will begin on July 29, while the artist pre-sale for anyone who is registered on the official mailing lists will begin as early as July 28.The respective shows will be held on:Friday, January 22, Accor Stadium, Sydney, NSWWednesday, January 27, Marvel Stadium, Melbourne, VICMonday, February 1, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, QLDSunday, February 7, Hnry Stadium, Wellington, NZSystem of a Down will be returning to Australia after an entire decade following their 2012 performance at the Soundwave Festival. Recently, the group was on their UK and European tour at Las Vegas’ Sick New World Festival in April earlier this year. Faith No More will also be performing there for the first time in a decade. The group was scheduled to have a comeback in 2020; however, due to the sudden COVID-19 restrictions, everything was cancelled.
