Sunny to join ‘Ramayana: Part 2’ shoot in April

Sunny Deol to join 'Ramayana: Part 2' sets; actor to wrap action thriller before joining Ranbir Kapoor

Amid much hype and anticipation around the release of director Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, a new update about the sequel has turned up online. After Ranbir Kapoor kicking off work on the film, early this month, new reports cnfirm that he will soon be joined on the sets by co-star, Sunny Deol. Sunny Deol’s ‘Ramayana: Part 2’ schedule revealedAs per a report on Mid-Day, the actor, who is currently busy working on director Balaji Ganesh’s yet-untitled action film produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, is nearing the end of his month-long shoot. After wrapping up the schedule, he will then move on to the sets of ‘Ramayana: Part 2’, in April to film the mythological epic and is reportedly aiming to complete his portions as Hanuman by the end of April.

About the untitled action filmDesigned as a high-octane action entertainer, the film features Deol in the role of a cop. As per the report, he will rock a rugged look, including a moustache and beard. Filming began early this month with the team shooting across multiple locations in Mumbai. The shoot began with a large-scale action sequence between Deol and Vijay Varma at Film City. The actor also reportedly shot portions of the film at a bungalow in Bandra, a college near Churchgate, and the Marol Police Camp in Andheri East. After wrapping up his ‘Ramayana’ schedule, he will return to his action thriller in May for a new schedule planned in Goa, which is expected to wrap up in July.Sunny Deol to make OTT debutDeol has also announced his digital debut in the upcoming courtroom drama ‘Ikka’, which will see him share screen space with Akshaye Khanna.
