SRK is like my second dad’: Ananya Panday

'Shah Rukh Khan is like my second dad': A heartwarming throwback to Ananya Panday’s bond with the Khan family

As Ananya Panday celebrates another successful year in her career, it’s suitably time to refresh one of her most heartwarming statements of her connection with the superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The young actress is currently being lauded for her acting performance on screen in ‘Kesari 2’ with Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan, and it’s well documented that she’s been very public about her relationship with both Shah Rukh Khan and his family for some time. Having spent years of her childhood growing up with Suhana Khan, Ananya has shared many happy stories of her memories of their time spent together as children at Mannat.

A cherished bond with the Khan family

Ananya has always thought of Shah Rukh Khan as more than just the dad of her best friend. She has often referenced how his kindness, sense of humor, and mentorship left lasting impressions on her growing up. Ananya’s friendship with Suhana Khan developed in the comfortable and friendly environment of the Khan home, and they are still just as close. Ananya often recalls how SRK treated all of Suhana’s friends like his own children.

Ananya’s heartfelt words for Shah Rukh Khan

In an old interview with Bombay Times, Ananya expressed deep admiration for the superstar and his role as a father. She said, “While growing up, I saw firsthand what an amazing father he is to Aryan, Suhana and AbRam and the way he’s been with all of us. He would train us for our sports day and taekwondo competitions and was always very present in our lives.” Ananya added, “Even now, he wants to know what we’re doing and is very involved. Also, when he talks to you, he makes you feel like you are the only person in the world. There is truly no one like him.”

“SRK is like my second dad”

This isn’t the first time Ananya has spoken fondly of SRK. In an earlier conversation, she described him as her “second dad.” She shared, “SRK is like my second dad. He is my best friend’s dad, so we used to go with him for all the IPL matches.” The ‘Gehraiyaan’ actress also revealed that Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor are her closest friends from the industry and that the three of them share everything with each other.

On the work front

Ananya Panday’s career continues to soar with each passing year. After the success of ‘Kesari 2’, she is gearing up for Karan Johar’s upcoming romantic comedy ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, opposite Kartik Aaryan. In the film, Ananya will be seen as Rumi, while Kartik plays Ray. Their chemistry has already caught fans’ attention after the release of the first poster, which features the duo sharing a romantic moment. Go to Source
