Shiva Rajkumar praises Ram Charan's role in 'Peddi,' calling it a National Award-worthy performance

The much-awaited rustic sports drama ‘Peddi,’ starring global star Ram Charan and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on June 4. As part of promotions, the team held a press meet in Bengaluru on Monday (May 25). Ram Charan, Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, and producer Venkata Satish Kilaru attended the event. The statements shared by the team, especially Shiva Rajkumar’s words about the film, have now gone viral.

Shiva Rajkumar on his ‘Peddi’ role

Shiva Rajkumar spoke emotionally about his role in ‘Peddi.’ As reported by NTV Telugu, he said, “I always choose characters that are close to my heart. Gournayudu is also one such role. It has a strong purpose and meaningful journey. Director Buchi Babu has shaped it beautifully.” He added that his character works like a coach in the story and plays an important emotional role. He also said, “Peddi’s journey is special, and many characters come into his path, making the story richer.” According to him, the emotional bonding between his character and Ram Charan will be a major highlight of the film.

Shiva Rajkumar’s big praise for Ram Charan

Shiva Rajkumar did not hold back in praising Ram Charan’s performance. He said, “I strongly believe Ram Charan will get a National Award for this film. He worked with full dedication for nearly two and a half years.” He further added, “The way he transformed his body and lived the character is amazing. He gave complete honesty to the role.” He also appreciated director Buchi Babu Sana, saying the film has been made exactly the way the story demanded. Shiva Rajkumar also hinted that the film’s climax will be a big surprise best experienced only in theaters.

Shiva Rajkumar also shared that he carefully builds his characters after discussing them with directors and prefers meaningful roles. He revealed that he is currently working on a biopic titled ‘Gummadi Narsaiah’ and is also part of ‘Jailer 2’ alongside Rajinikanth. Meanwhile, Ram Charan also spoke emotionally at the event, saying working with Shiva Rajkumar was a dream moment for him. He called ‘Peddi’ one of the most sincere films of his career and assured that the team worked with complete honesty to deliver a memorable cinematic experience. Go to Source
