Samantha Ruth Prabhu is basking in success with her latest film, ‘Maa Itni Bangaaram’. The film being a women-led action drama made on a small budget has been roaring at the box office. Recently the actress talked about the lack of time and effort given to female stars in comparison to a male superstars.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu on making a female superstar

In a conversation with Variety India, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was asked why successful actresses still have to fight for working hours and bigger paychecks. Samantha Ruth Prabhu taking a one step at a time approach stated, “I’ve always said this: male superstars are not made in a day. Time and effort have gone into building larger-than-life male superstars. With every film, with every director working so hard to build this god-like status. It has taken time. I feel that that effort and time is not given to female stars.”She further suggested if filmmakers put the same effort they do while building an actress into a superstar it can be achieved. “If directors and producers put that effort into building an actress into a superstar, it will be possible. We just need that time and investment,” she said.

Samantha talks about working with husband Raj Nidimoru

Her film ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ is co-produced by her husband and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru. With the same media outlet she also talked about working with him. “ It’s actually incredibly easy. I know that most people will not believe that. But it is really easy working with Raj on everything. We can easily discuss the stupidest things.”Samantha Ruth Prabhu first worked with Raj on the spy action thriller web series, ‘The Family Man’ Season 2. They later also worked on ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’.“In all of our years of knowing each other, we haven’t argued. It is pretty cool. Especially since we’re neck-deep in each other’s work as well and not just our personal lives. Our relationship is incredibly collaborative. We really believe that we have our best interests at heart.”

Samantha teases working on multiple projects

The film has been backed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s production banner Tralala Moving Pictures. As ‘Maa Itni Bangaaram’ turns out to be a superhit, she shared that it gives them confidence to venture more into the stories they want to tell.“I am working on multiple scripts and all of them have their hearts in the right place. All of them will be original and heartfelt and will encourage new talent,” she said.
