'Salman Khan was crying out loud': Ismail Darbar tells the 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' actor confessed 'Tadap Tadap' causes him pain

Music composer Ismail Darbar revealed that Salman Khan was left in tears after listening to ‘Tadap Tadap’ from ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. Salman reportedly told Ismail the song causes him a lot of pain. Salman and Aishwarya Rai had parted ways in 2002. Aishwarya later married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007.

‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, starring Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai, is still one of the most popular films among fans. The movie released in 1999 and people loved it for the amazing chemistry between the two actors and its beautiful songs. The sad song ‘Tadap Tadap’ was especially a big hit. Recently, music composer Ismail Darbar discussed the creation of the song and revealed that even Salman had tears in his eyes after listening to it.

Ismail Darbar recalls Salman Khan’s painful reaction to ‘Tadap Tadap’

Talking to FilmyGyan, Ismail recalled, “One day, Sanjay (Leela Bhansali) was listening to the song and there was a sound with some strong words in it. Suddenly, everyone went silent. I asked, ‘Brother, what’s wrong?’ Then Salman said, ‘Whenever I listen to this song, it causes me a lot of pain. Please don’t play it in front of me’”.“I have seen Salman Khan extremely restless at that moment. Literally, I have seen Salman crying out loud and shouting. I witnessed that side of him myself,” he added.

Bhansali reveals love was in the air on set

In an earlier interview, Bhansali opened up about the warm and loving atmosphere on the sets of his iconic film, admitting that romance wasn’t the only thing filling the air. “Yes, there was love in the air. But not just between them; there was a lot of affection among all of us. Zohra Sehgalji, Helen Aunty, Salman, Aishwarya, Vikram Gokhale, Smita Jayekar—we were like one big family. I don’t think I’ve had such a fulfilling experience shooting any other film,” the filmmaker told us.

Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai’s bitter break-up

As widely reported, Salman and Aishwarya Rai parted ways in 2002 and never shared the screen together after that. Years later, in a 2012 interview with Simi Garewal, Aishwarya broke her silence on the painful split and said, “I think I have quite shut it out. I think I wouldn’t want to get into looking at it any which way and especially on a public platform. I really wouldn’t want to.”
