Rod Stewart almost fainted on stage and had to stop his concert for a few minutes to get medical assistance.

Days after facing backlash over skipping his weekend concert for the FIFA opening ceremony, Rod Stewart got back up on stage for one of his latest concerts. However, according to recent reports shared online, the famed singer ended up almost fainting in front of everyone and had to pause the event to recover.

According to TMZ reports released recently, the singer had gotten up on stage for his fans at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City. In the middle of his performance, however, he was forced to take a break and pause the event. It was observed that Stewart looked in pain while performing and even had to go backstage in order to get oxygen administered to him in the middle of the show.Videos from the publication were also shared online, which showed the singer doubling over as the staff members rushed around to bring him an oxygen tank. For the remainder of the concert, Stewart was seated down in a chair on stage and performed his songs the same way. While on stage, he also cracked a few jokes about his health with fans and about pausing the concert.

The news comes after the veteran star cancelled a lot of his shows for his The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. He cited in a statement that the doctors had ordered him to rest more, and that he would be rescheduling the shows. Not only that, but some Nevada and California dates were also cancelled and rescheduled until further notice by the singer.He had posted an official message online for fans, stating, “So sorry, my friends. I’m devastated and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to my fans. I’ll be back on stage, and we’ll see you soon – Sir Rod (heartbreak emoji).”On top of that, only a few days back, Stewart was set to perform on June 12; however, only hours before the concert, when fans had started gathering in the venue, he announced that he would not be able to perform. A statement on social media from his team had read, “on the advice of his doctors and following a diagnosis of an acute upper respiratory infection that has resulted in laryngitis, he is unable to take the stage this evening.”Hours later, fans were left infuriated after he posted a video from a private jet along with his two sons, talking about how he would never miss out on the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony and watching his favourite team in the field. Many fans and netizens had called him out for his inconsiderate behaviour. Many questioned if he was really sick enough to cancel a concert, but did not cancel his visit to the FIFA stadium.
