Famed TV comic star Richard Ayoade was involved in a major car accident in South East London. According to the latest reports shared online, a car slammed into the comedian’s automobile after hitting pedestrians in the same area.

The Sun reported that a major car crash occurred in East Dulwich, South East London. A speeding car in the area hit some pedestrians before ramming into the side of Richard Ayoade’s vehicle, which he was driving nearby. As of now, no one from the actor’s team has shared an update about his health. However, as per the report, he was seen getting out of his car while clutching his neck.The report further added that because of the accident, two women, who were also hit by the speeding car, had to be taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Both women involved in the crash sustained major injuries and are currently being treated at a nearby hospital.A statement from the report read, “The Renault came speeding along the road and hit a woman — she ended up on the other side of the roundabout. Then the Renault hit Richard Ayoade’s car.” As per the report, an eyewitness from the area stated that many people thought that someone had passed away because of the severity of the crash. Their statement read: “Everyone froze at the sound of twisted metal. It was obviously a bad crash. One of the pedestrians who was hit could then be heard screaming. It was a complete shock. A lot of people ran outside. It was obvious from the aftermath that the Renault had been travelling at high speed. My immediate thought was, ‘I hope no one died in the crash.’ I feared someone could have died.”The comedian was seen walking away from the area with many of his belongings in hand as the authorities arrived at the scene. He was also spotted talking to the authorities at the scene about what had happened.As of now, the Metropolitan Police Service has confirmed that they are looking into the matter.

Richard Ayoade is a BAFTA award-winning actor and TV comic who has appeared in a large variety of shows. He is best known for his role in ‘The IT Crowd’, where he played the role of Maurice Moss, an awkward IT technician. Some of his other shows also include ‘Travel Man: 48 Hours In…’ and ‘LOL: Last One Laughing UK.’ He has also worked as a director for some films, including ‘Submarine,’ which was released in 2010, and ‘The Double,’ which was released in 2013.
