Speaking at CinemaCon 2026, Yash revealed, “‘Ramayana’ we are planning this year, (on) Diwali, which is October last week,” indicating a potential shift from previously discussed release timelines. ‘Ramayana’ to avert clash with ‘Godzilla’If the film opts for an end-October release, it could get a head-start at an already crowded year-end box office. It will also avert a clash with the monster film ‘Godzilla Minus Zero’, which is slated for a November 6 release and the children’s film ‘The Cat in the Hat’, also releasing on the same day. ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Godzilla’ are both eyeing IMAX releases, but should one bow out of a box office battle, both films could benefit.Yash on ‘Ramayana’ VFXMeanwhile, the actor also addressed ongoing criticism surrounding the film’s visual effects.
