'Peddi OTT' release: Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s sport drama locks post-theatrical streaming partner

Ram Charan’s upcoming sports action drama is gearing up for its grand theatrical release on June 4. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film also features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. Making its way to the big screens this week, the latest buzz suggests the film has also completed an OTT deal.

OTT details for ‘Peddi’

According to Flimibeat, the film will be streaming on Netflix. The OTT giant seems to have been locked as the official streaming partner for the film. While the OTT platform has been finalized, the makers have not yet revealed the digital premiere date. The movie will first have a full theatrical run before arriving on the streaming platform.‘Peddi’ marks Ram Charan second project with director Buchi Babu Sana after they worked together in the 2018 film, ‘Rangasthalam’ where Buchi Banu Sana worked under the direction of ace filmmaker Sukumar.

About ‘Peddi’

‘Peddi’ is a village based sports drama revolving around ‘Peddi,’ an elite sportsman with exceptional skills in cricket, wrestling and spirit. Through sports Ram Charan’s character looks to be fighting for the oppressed ones.

Buchi Babu Sana talks about the last part of ‘Peddi’

Earlier in a conversation with Gulte, the director shared that the last 50 minutes of the film will be very emotional, shocking and deeply disturbing. He shared that audiences may walk out of theatres with a heavy heart after watching the ending. At the same time, he believes viewers will feel they watched a memorable film that stays with them for a long time.Talking about the film’s cast, it includes Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Raki Kishan and Boman Irani. The makers have also planned premiere shows which will be held on June 3.
