‘Raja Shivaji’ Day 1-4 recap

The film enjoyed a spectacular opening weekend, largely fueled by the massive hype surrounding Salman Khan’s appearance as Jiva Mahala. The film opened with a strong Rs. 11.35 crore. Day 2 saw a marginal 7% dip, collecting Rs. 10.55 crore. Day 3 saw a surge by 13.7% hitting a weekend peak of Rs. 12.00 crore. Day 4 which also marked its first Monday saw the film creating history by earning Rs. 5.60 crore. This stands as the highest-ever first Monday for any Marathi-language production, comfortably beating the previous record held by Riteish Deshmukh’s own ‘Ved’ with its Rs. 3.02 crore.

On Day 5, which marked its first Tuesday, ‘Raja Shivaji’ earned a net collection of Rs. 4.90 crore, screened across 5,485 shows. This performance marks a minor 12.5% dip compared to Monday’s earnings of Rs. 5.60 crore. This pushed the film’s domestic box office performance to Rs. 44.40 crore net and gross to Rs. 52.68 crore.

On Day 6, ‘Raja Shivaji’ is screening across 2,389 shows with a live net of Rs. 0.72 crore collected by afternoon.This brings the total India net to Rs. 45.12 crore and gross to Rs. 53.53 crore, with evening and night show figures still to be added. The Rs. 50 crore India net milestone is Rs. 5.34 crore away. At the current daily pace, the film is likely to cross that landmark either later this week or on the second weekend’s opening day.
