Priyanka Chopra Jonas stuns in heritage couture

For this landmark South Asian honour, Priyanka chose to celebrate Indian craftsmanship on a global stage through a breathtaking one-of-a-kind couture gown by Amit Aggarwal in collaboration with Ami Patel.A two-decade-old Chikankari sari was transformed into a contemporary couture silhouette for the look. This offered a perfect merge of heritage craftsmanship with modern structure. Over six weeks, women artisans hand-embroidered the textile stitch by stitch before Amit Aggarwal reimagined it through his signature sculptural design language, intricate glass bead detailing and architectural layering. She completed the look with a striking Bvlgari necklace.
