Powai hostage case: Girish Oak met Rohit Arya just a day before

Marathi actor Girish Oak met Rohit Arya just a day before the Powai hostage incident: ‘I noticed many children at the studio’

Rohit Arya, the man shot dead by Mumbai Police after a shocking hostage crisis at a Powai studio, had reportedly been in touch with several Marathi film industry figures just days before the event. What makes it even more shocking is that one of his film ideas was about a hostage situation, the same kind of event that actually happened later in real life.

Girish Oak confirms meeting Rohit Arya

Veteran Marathi actor Girish Oak has now confirmed that he met Arya at RA Studio in Powai just a day before the incident. “A person who had worked with me briefly in the past contacted me on behalf of Arya for a role in his film,” Oak told Hindustan Times.

Girish Oak recalls his meeting at Powai studio

Oak further shared that his meeting with Arya on October 29 seemed completely ordinary, “I was informed that Arya had produced movies earlier, so I agreed to meet him.”He further revealed, “We discussed a project based on a social cause. I noticed many children at the studio and asked about them. He told me they were attending a workshop. The kids even gathered for a group photo with me, and some parents took selfies. I left around noon.”

Ruchita Jadhav’s revelation about Rohit Arya’s film offer

It wasn’t just Girish Oak who crossed paths with Rohit Arya. Marathi actress Ruchita Jadhav revealed on social media that Arya had contacted her weeks earlier about a film project. What’s chilling is that the subject of this proposed film was, coincidentally, about a hostage situation.

Who was Rohit Arya?

According to India Today, Rohit Arya was known as a self-styled acting coach and motivational speaker. He ran his own space called RA Studio in Powai, where he regularly conducted acting workshops and short-film auditions. Police sources revealed that Arya lived in Mumbai, while his family resided in Pune. He also ran a YouTube channel, using it to promote his workshops and motivational content.Disclaimer: The information contained herein is based on public statements by individuals involved and reports from named news sources.
