'Peddi' box office collections day 9: Ram Charan film earns Rs 286.38 cr globally; Witnesses 18.3% fall

Ram Charan’s sports action drama ‘Peddi’ continued its theatrical run on Day 9, though the film witnessed another decline in collections.According to Sacnilk, ‘Peddi’ collected Rs 5.15 crore net in India on its ninth day. The figure marks an 18.3 percent drop from the Rs 6.30 crore net collection recorded on Day 8.

India collections close in on major milestone

‘Peddi’s total India net collection has reached Rs 198.70 crore. The film had already completed a strong first week with collections of Rs 193.55 crore net.The India gross collection now stands at Rs 235.98 crore. The film was screened across 3,816 shows on Day 9. The latest figures indicate that the film is on the verge of crossing the Rs 200 crore India net milestone.

Worldwide total reaches Rs 286.38 crore

‘Peddi’ also added to its overseas tally on Day 9. The film collected Rs 1 crore gross from international markets, taking its total overseas gross collection to Rs 50.40 crore. The film’s worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 286.38 crore.

Occupancy remains decent across languages

The Telugu version registered an overall occupancy of 26.10 percent on Day 9. Occupancy improved as the day progressed, beginning with 15.46 percent in morning shows and rising to 29 percent during night shows. The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 18.96 percent. State-wise, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the biggest contributors, generating Rs 4.75 crore gross on Day 9. Karnataka followed with Rs 60 lakhs while the Rest of India contributed Rs 58 lakhs. Tamil Nadu added Rs 10 lakhs to the tally.ETimes, in its review of the film, stated, “Ram Charan anchors the film with a committed performance, convincingly portraying a man fighting not only for sporting glory but also for his community’s identity and self-respect.
