Paresh Rawal on clash between his and Akshay’s film

Paresh Rawal reacts to the clash between his film 'Ajey' and Akshay Kumar's 'Jolly LLB 3': 'Sab humare hi log hain'

A couple of months ago, Paresh Rawal made headlines for a fallout with Akshay Kumar with regards to Priyadarshan’s much-anticipated ‘Hera Pheri 3’, where Kumar is also the producer. It began with Paresh Rawal announcing his sudden exit from the film. Thus, a legal action was then taken against him by Akshay Kumar’s production house. The tension, however, was short-lived. Rawal later confirmed that the matter had been settled and that he would indeed reprise his iconic role in the third installment of the cult 2000 comedy, alongside Akshay and Suniel Shetty. But before ‘Hera Pheri 3’ kicks off, Akshay will first be seen in another comedy franchise—Subhash Kapoor’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’, slated for a September 19 theatrical release. Meanwhile, Rawal has his own upcoming project, Ravindra Gautam’s biographical drama ‘Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi’, where he steps into the shoes of Mahant Avaidyanath, the guru of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Paresh Rawal Returns To Hera Pheri 3 After Legal Battle With Akshay Kumar

Commenting on the inevitable box-office clash Akshay and Arshad Warsi’s film ‘Jolly LLB 3’, as well as Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Nishanchi’, Paresh Rawal said during a chat with Galatta India, “Sab humare hi log hain. Sabki picture chalein (All of them are our people only. All of our films should work).” Interestingly, Rawal had once played the antagonist in Kashyap’s 2007 psychological thriller ‘No Smoking’.

Who do you think will deliver a better performance in ‘Hera Pheri 3’?

Meanwhile, at the trailer launch of ‘Housefull 5’, when the trouble them was still on, Akshay was asked about Paresh Rawal’s exit from the film. He was asked by a journalist that people on the internet are saying that ‘Paresh Rawal is really foolish to leave the franchise.’ When asked to react to this, Akshay said, “Firstly, I’ll like to tell you that using such kind of word for my co-star, foolish, is something I’d not appreciate. That’s not right. I have been working with him for the last 32 years. We are very good friends. He’s a great actor. I really admire him.”He added, “I don’t think this is a place where I am going to talk about it because…it’s a very serious matter. It is a matter which is going to be handled by the courts. Hence, I dont think I am going to speak about it here.”
