‘Parasakthi’ BO day 3: SK film struggles in Monday test

'Parasakthi' box office collections day 3: Sivakarthikeyan film struggles in Monday test; Total reaches Rs 25.35 crores

Sivakarthikeyan’s political drama ‘Parasakthi’ opened strongly, collecting ₹12.5 crores on day one. However, a significant drop occurred on Monday, with earnings falling to ₹2.75 crores, bringing the three-day total to ₹25.35 crores. Mixed audience reactions and lukewarm occupancy suggest the film needs strong word-of-mouth to sustain its box office run.

‘Parasakthi’ started its box office run in a decent way. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead and had good attention before release. On the first day the film collected Rs 12.5 crores India net as reported by the Sacnilk w.bsite That was a good opening. On the second day the collection came down a little and stood at Rs 10.1 crores. Still the weekend looked fine. The total collection reached Rs 22.60 crores after 2 days.

Big drop on day 3

Day 3 was Monday and that is where the drop came. ‘Parasakthi’ earned around Rs 2.75 crores India net on its third day. The total collection after three days is Rs 25.35 crores. The fall from Sunday to Monday is very clear. This kind of drop usually happens when weekday shows begin. The film now needs good public talk to stay steady in the coming days.

On Monday, ‘Parasakthi’ had low occupancy in Tamil theatres. The overall occupancy for the day was 19.70%. Morning shows were very low at 13.45%. Afternoon shows were slightly better at 19.57%. Evening shows touched 21.13%. Night shows were the best of the day with 24.65%.

Mixed reactions to SK film

‘Parasakthi’ is directed by Sudha Kongara. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela, Atharvaa, and Rana Daggubati in key roles. Social media reactions are mixed. One viewer wrote, “The potential was great, the outcome unfortunately isn’t.” The same review also said, “But the film’s biggest undoing is the lacklustre screenplay & dialogues.”Another viewer had a more positive opinion and wrote, “Periodic movie with a decent watch!” The viewer also said, “The main focus on depicting the 1960 set and showing protests during that time especially fighting for tamil is really beautiful to watch.” The review praised performances and mentioned, “SK with powerful acting, Atharva with his attitude to keep protesting is really awesome.” The music by GV Prakash also got good words.Overall, ‘Parasakthi’ is getting mixed talk, and that mixed feeling is clearly showing in its box office numbers.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
