Smriti Mandhana recently confirmed her engagement in a fun video. And now the wedding festivities of Indian women’s cricket team opener and music composer Palash Muchhal have kicked off. Latest photos from the festivities showcased the composer receiving a warm, affectionate welcome at Smriti’s home as he arrived donning an embroidered kurta-pyjama set. He exuded nothing but elegance while a family member put a garland around his neck and shared a heartfelt hug with him.

For those unaware, the couple, who will tie the knot on November 23, had officially announced their engagement on Thursday.

Smriti Mandhana’s fun engagement reveal goes viral

The star batter thrilled fans on November 20 with a fun, memorable Instagram video confirming that she was engaged to Palash Muchhal. In the video clip, Smriti is dancing to the hit Bollywood song ‘Samjho Ho Hi Gaya’ from the 2006 blockbuster ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’. She was joined by some of her colleagues, including Shreyanka Patil, Jemimah Rodrigues, Arundhati Reddy, and Radha Yadav. The joyful dancing sequence culminated in a personal reveal as Smriti raised her hand toward the camera to display a glittering engagement ring.

Prime Minister Modi blessed the couple

PM Narendra Modi sent an official congratulatory letter to the Mandhana and Muchhal families for the celebration. His message was, “It is delightful to learn about the wedding of Sou. Smriti and Chi. Palash, to be held on November 23, 2025. Heartiest congratulations and greetings to the Mandhana and Muchhal families on this auspicious and joyous occasion.”He further added, “Walking hand in hand through every season of life, may the couple find strength in each other’s presence, and may their hearts, minds, and souls be in harmony. May their dreams intertwine and grow together, guiding them towards a future filled with joy and deep understanding.”
