Taz Skylar, who takes on the role of Sanji in the live-action adaptation of ‘One Piece,’ shared his astonishment at the series’ lasting appeal, highlighting how it continues to gain traction even after years of absence.

Taz Skylar, the actor who plays Vinsmoke Sanji in the live action adaptation of ‘One Piece’ is surprised that even after a long gap, the show has remained in people’s minds. Taz Skylar feels that for season 2, which released Tuesday, March 10, the buzz hasn’t faded. The Spanish-British actor also expressed interest in working with Bollywood projects.

Taz Skyler feels the ‘One Piece’s’ popularity has grown with time

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Skyler spoke about the response to the series. The 30-year-old actor said he had wondered how long the show would remain in people’s minds once the initial buzz faded. The second season released nearly two years after the first. Skylar feels the show’s popularity only grew with time.He shared, “You always wonder where a show will stand six months after its release,” but what surprised him was that it wasn’t forgotten at all. “It honestly felt like it grew. It felt like more people knew about it six months or even a year later than they did when it first came out.”

Taz Skylar would love to be a part of Bollywood

Skylar had already made appearances in a number of projects prior to One Piece Season 2, such as the British crime drama ‘Villain’ and the highly regarded series ‘Boiling Point.’ The actor is now seeking opportunities in Bollywood and other film industries due to the show’s success. “I would love to be part of a Bollywood project,” he said. He shared that stunt teams he collaborated with have also worked in India, and they consistently return with incredible tales of their experiences there.

Taz Skyler’s travel wish list

Skylar also revealed that India is high on his personal travel wish list. The actor said he has long been curious about visiting the country and experiencing its culture firsthand.
