Olly Murs talks about completing a 400 km run: Says, ‘I didn’t quite fathom what I’ve done’

Olly Murs has been selected as this year’s celebrity ambassador for the Soccer Aid Challenge this year. Only a few days prior, the actor was spotted crying after he passed his physical endurance test. Now, in another moment, the singer and songwriter broke down in tears talking about his 400 KM race.

Olly Murs opens up about the Soccer Aid Challenge

While talking to The Daily Mirror, the famed musician weighed in on what it was like to keep going through all of the hardships. He added, “I’m feeling good, I think I’m still in a bit of a bubble. I didn’t quite fathom what I’ve done, still. I’m just really proud that I did it.”He added, “That will be a chance for me to see it and go, bloody hell, that was epic. I’m just really proud I’ve done it.” The challenge lasted 5 days, and as per the reports, raised EUR 800,000.The singer even joked about how, when the challenge was over, he ended up having burgers from a popular joint. He stated, “It tasted so good. I think people were shocked that I was in the queue to get it but it tasted great. It’s all I kept thinking about all week.”

Most emotional part of the run

Olly Murs also talked openly about what was the most emotional part of his 5-day challenge. He added that “When my wife turned up, it’s weird, when you’re pushing your body to the absolute limit and really fighting through it every day, any bit of positive, or anything lovely, you’re thinking of your wife and kids.”

What is the Soccer Aid Challenge?

This is an annual challenge that celebrity ambassadors of the year undergo. This is an annual, multi-day endurance event held to raise funds for UNICEF’s Soccer Aid. This year, Olly Murs embarked on multiple high-endurance tasks in order to raise funds for the cause.
