Mixed first-half reactions but PK’s aura shines

While the fan frenzy is undeniable, the early reviews of the first half are slightly mixed. A verified reviewer posted, “#OG Satisfactory 1st Half! First half is a typical savior gangster drama so far. This half was more of setup with many character introductions and felt pretty flat till the superb interval block which came out well. PK’s presence stands out especially in the intro and interval blocks. Thaman is the life of the film. 2nd Half Awaits! #TheyCallHimOG.” Another viewer noted, “#TheyCallHimOG first half review: except for peak intervel! & title intro card every thing is predictable it’s like slow and lacky konchem slow ga undhi, pk aura in Interval fight mathram, OMI intro, Daaku maharaj gurthu aaya Assalu katha ippdu start #OGReview 1st.” However, the fan energy was best captured by a quick rating shared on Twitter: “#OGReview – 4/5, #PK Intro Sequence Peaks @MusicThamanBGM makes Huge impact and Backdrop Fight Scenes and Story Line-up make Director Best Of Best #Sujeeth A Big Fest Mode For Fans Strike.. #TheyCallHimOG #OG.”
