Pawan Kalyan’s recently released action flick ‘They Call Him OG’ witnessed a mixed trend at the box office on day 3 and this can be surely due to the mixed reviews that came in for the film. While the film opened with a magnificent start on Thursday, the momentum slowed down significantly by Saturday.According to early estimates by the Sacnilk website, the movie collected Rs 18.50 crore (all languages) on day 3. This brought its total domestic net to around Rs 122 crore. The sharp drop after day 1 can affect the movie’s run, along with the fact that the most awaited Rishab Shetty starrer ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ will be releasing in a few days.

Occupancy for ‘OG’ tells the story

The Telugu version, which is driving the major chunk of the film’s earnings, reported an overall 42.08% occupancy on Saturday, day 3, with evening shows holding up the best at 48.20%. Tamil audiences showed limited interest with a modest 15.57% occupancy, while Hindi screenings reflected an even smaller share with just 8.07%.

Pawan Kalyan’s fan power will save the film?

Despite the dip, the hype around OG remains significant. Pawan Kalyan’s star power, combined with Sujeeth’s direction and a high-profile ensemble including Priyanka Arul Mohan, Emraan Hashmi, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, and Sriya Reddy, can help the movie in getting a good hold at the box office.

They Call Him OG – Official Trailer

But with mixed reviews pouring in, it will be quite difficult for ‘OG’ to mint magnificent numbers as expected from a PK film. For now, the film stands at Rs 122 crore in just three days, a figure most films would envy, but the road ahead looks steep.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
