Nayanthara praises 'Mardaani 3' trailer; Calls Rani Mukerji 'One and only queen'; Says trailer is absolute fire

The trailer of ‘Mardaani 3’ is out, and it is getting strong love from all sides. Actress Nayanthara has now joined the list of stars who are praising Rani Mukerji after watching the trailer. She shared the trailer on her Instagram stories and wrote a heartfelt message for Rani.Nayanthara wrote, “The one n only queen. Rani Mukerji. #Mardaani 3 The trailer…absolute fire there is truly no one like you! Can’t wait for this one 2yrf.”

Trailer builds strong excitement among fans

‘Mardaani 3’ is the third part of Rani Mukerji’s popular cop series. In this film, Rani returns as the fearless police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy. The trailer shows a dark and serious story that talks about crime, pain, and missing girls.The intense scenes in the trailer made many people emotional. Fans said the trailer feels real and disturbing in a good way.

Rani Mukerji opens up about emotional pain

While talking about the film, Rani Mukerji shared with Mid Day recently on how emotionally heavy the story is. She spoke about how the pain shown in the film affects the actors too. She said, “Emotionally, the trauma that the girls suffer in the film is also what we suffer indirectly, as we know that they are inspired by true events. To think of the missing girls and what their families go through is traumatizing.” Rani explained that this emotional weight is not easy to handle. The story stays with her even after the shoot ends.

Why Rani had to detach herself

Rani Mukerji also shared that she had to control her emotions while acting. She felt that getting too emotional would affect her performance. She said, “I had to detach myself from these emotions because, according to her, if she had gotten emotional, she would not have portrayed her character well.”She further explained her reason for choosing such films. Rani said, “When I pick up subjects like Mardaani, I’m trying to shake people up and tell them, ‘Look, this is happening around us.’”Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, Mardaani 3 releases in cinemas on January 30, 2026.
