Millie Bobby Brown defends husband Jake Bongiovi amid backlash

Millie Bobby Brown defends Jake Bongiovi amid ongoing criticism about parenting: ‘He also knows I'm capable’

Millie Bobby Brown takes a stand for her husband Jake Bongiovi amid the ongoing backlash that he is not a good parent and husband.

Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have been the centre of headlines for months now. A while back, videos and photos of the duo went viral, showing the ‘Stranger Things’ actress carrying their baby’s carrier, along with two bags, while Bongiovi walked alongside her with nothing in his arms. Now, months after the incident, Brown is finally addressing the matter and taking a stand for her husband.

On June 11, the ‘Stranger Things’ actress appeared on the latest episode of the ‘Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce’ podcast. Taking the time to talk about her life and career, the actress also finally addressed the controversy and backlash that her husband has been facing for the past few months because of the photos and videos that had been circulating online.Taking the same into context, the actress commented during the podcast that “Hi, I’m Millie Bobbie Brown, and I’m not gonna lie, when did women become incapable of holding their own bags, car seats, and stuff?”She further cited that “This stems from me holding all of my suitcases and bags and my kid, and people are like, ‘Your husband doesn’t hold a single thing.’ And I’m like, ‘Because I’m three miles ahead. I have been planning this all night.’” She further commented about how everyone is always about women’s empowerment and how women can do everything on their own. However, the one time she actually does everything on her own, people had started criticising her husband for not caring for her enough, and for not being a good enough parent.Concluding on her comments, she stood up for her partner and added, “Nobody knows my husband. My husband is the most polite, sweet, and will-do-anything-for-me. But he also knows I’m capable.”For the unversed, Brown and Bongiovi have been married since 2024 and last year welcomed a baby through adoption as well.
