Megan Moroney cancels the Denver show due to health scare: 'That was the hardest decision'

Megan Moroney, the country singer renowned for self-reflective music, cancelled her Denver show on July 28, 2026, due to an unspecified illness after stepping onto the stage. The 28-year-old was scheduled for her ‘The Cloud 9 Tour’ show at Ball Arena. However, she performed three songs before calling the show quits due to the health scare. The Georgia native singer later penned a heartfelt note on Instagram, informing fans.

Megan Moroney apologised to fans through a social media note, citing that it was the hardest decision she ever had to make. “Denver. That was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make & I’m so sorry to cancel the show tonight,” the ‘Lucky’ singer wrote, before adding, “I never ever will give you guys a show that is not 100%, and by song 3 I knew that I was not capable of giving that to you guys tonight.” According to Setlist.fm, Moroney performed ‘Stupid,’ ‘Medicine,’ and ‘Bless Your Heart,’ before cancelling the concert midway.

“I’m typing this as I’m quite literally bawling my eyes out in my dressing room & it hurts me so much to disappoint you all. I will be back August 27, and all tickets purchased for tonight’s show will be honoured for the new date,” Moroney suggested, adding, “If you can’t make the rescheduled date, refunds are available at the point of purchase.” Furthermore, she added that she never had to make such decisions. After the cancellation, many fans supported her decision and praised her for the dedication to be on stage despite her illness.
