Tollywood star Allu Arjun and ‘Jawan’ director Atlee are working on the upcoming sci-fi film ‘Raaka’. It is already known that the makers are working on a grand project while working with international studios for high end VFX. According to the latest reports, the project is being made on a massive budget of Rs 1000 crore and makers are discussing an overseas shoot of a special cameo of Shah Rukh Khan.

‘Raaka’ story set in two different worlds

As per a report by India Today, ‘Raaka’ will tell a story which is being set in two different periods. The first part will take place in a tribal Puranic Vedic era and the other one is reportedly set in the present day.As it is said that the film will feature multiple female characters, the report further claims that Murnal Thakur will appear during the modern timeline of the film. While Deepika Padukone who plays the female lead will be part of the historical portion of the story. In addition, Janhvi Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna are also said to be part of the same timeline as the ‘Pathaan’ actress.

Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo yet to be filmed

Interestingly, the report further shares an update about Shah Rukh Khan’s much-talked-about cameo in the film. The special appearance has not been filmed yet and will be shot during an overseas schedule.

Speaking of the other cast members, the project is also set to feature Chemban Vinod Jose, Yogi Babu and Femina George. The are also reports which suggest Vijay Sethupathi being part of the film however, the makers have not officially confirmed the full cast yet apart from Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone.The music is being composed by Sai Abhyankkar.The makers are yet to announce the release date of the film.
