Katherine reportedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, law enforcement sources told TMZ. As per a report on People, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call from a Hollywood Hills home at 6:41 pm, on Monday, February 23. The police confirmed to the portal that the call was made regarding a possible suicide. Who was Katherine Elizabeth ShortKatherine Elizabeth Short was the eldest of three children adopted by Martin and his actress wife, Nancy Dolman. She mostly steered clear of any public events or celebrity gatherings. She, however, did accompany her dad to a few red carpet events over the years. According to reports, Katherine was a social worker in Los Angeles, she advocated for breaking down mental health stigmas. People reports that she worked at UCLA’s Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital before going into private practice. Martin Short on his wife’s death Martin previously indicated that that the death of his wife due to ovarian cancer in 2010, had been ‘difficult’ on his children. The ‘Only Murders In The Building’ star, who is also father to sons Oliver and Henry, told the Guardian, “It’s been a tough two years for my children. This is the thing of life that we live in denial about, that it will ever happen to us or our loved ones, and when it does you gain a little and you suffer a little.
