In a throwback clip from The Anupam Kher Show, Madhuri chatted with the veteran actor. He brought up the rumour that she had earned more than Salman for the film. With her signature smile, Madhuri replied, “Well, agar yeh baat chali hai toh chalne do (If this is what people are saying, let them believe it).”

In an earlier interview with the Times of India, Sooraj Barjatya revealed that if he ever makes a sequel to Hum Aapke Hain Koun, he would go for a completely new cast instead of bringing back Salman Khan or Madhuri Dixit.The director explained that as actors get older, people care more about a good story than just big stars. He talked about his long friendship with Salman Khan but said he would work with Salman or Madhuri again only if the script is strong and the roles suit them.
