Even as Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues its strong run at the box office, the film has landed in legal trouble. Bollywood production house Trimurti Films has filed a suit against Aditya Dhar’s banner B62 Studios over the alleged unauthorised use of the song Rang De Lal (Oye Oye).

Row over ‘Rang De Lal’ usage

Claims of copyright infringement

The report also indicates that Trimurti has asserted ownership and/or control over the rights to the musical work and sound recording. The company has alleged that the usage amounts to copyright infringement, including unauthorised reproduction and public communication of the track. The suit seeks an injunction to restrain further use of the song, along with damages and other reliefs.
