‘We learned by watching Irrfan Khan,” Sanjay Mishra gets emotional at ‘Vadh 2’ promotions

‘Vadh 2’ is getting ready to hit theaters soon, and fans are really looking forward to it. Starring Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra, the sequel has created a lot of buzz since the trailer came out.

‘Vadh 2’ team visits NSD for promotions

Bringing an emotional touch to the film’s promotional campaign, Sanjay Mishra, Neena Gupta, and Kumud Mishra recently revisited the National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi. As proud alumni of the prestigious institution, the three were greeted with great warmth by students, faculty, and theatre fans, making the visit a touching tribute to cinema, theatre, and craftsmanship.

Sanjay Mishra recalls NSD memories

During the conversation, Sanjay fondly reminisced about his early days at NSD and the invaluable lessons he gained simply by observing his seniors, particularly the late Irrfan Khan. Reflecting on his time there, Mishra shared: “I don’t even know what I learned or didn’t learn at NSD, but what I truly had were people like Irrfan bhai. You could simply watch him. Virendra Saxena was there, Ankur ji was there, Robin Das is sitting right in front of you today while you’re busy looking at your mobile phones. Just watching them was a lesson in itself. Anup da as well these were people you kept observing. I remember once thinking, while Irrfan bhai was performing, ‘When will this man start acting?’ That’s the level at which he was playing the game.”

Team shares excitement ahead of ‘Vadh 2’ release

Directed and written by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, ‘Vadh 2’ brings Sanjay and Neena back in completely new roles while keeping the same emotional depth as the first film. Produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films, the sequel has become one of the most talked-about movies of 2026. The buzz grew even stronger after its Gala Premiere at the 56th IFFI 2025, where it received huge applause and once again proved Mishra and Gupta’s talent and legacy. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 6th February 2026. Go to Source
