Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ inches towards Rs 75 crore mark

Gujarati film ‘Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ inches towards Rs 75 crore mark

Gujarati cinema’s resurgence is highlighted by ‘Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate,’ which has achieved an extraordinary box office run. The film, after 46 days, has grossed Rs 74.85 crore, driven by exceptional word-of-mouth and repeat viewership. Its unconventional growth, especially in weeks 4 and 5, has propelled it to become the highest-grossing Gujarati film, nearing the Rs 75 crore milestone.

Gujarati cinema continues its remarkable resurgence, and the latest proof of its soaring popularity is Ankit Sakhiya’s Laalo -Krishna Sada Sahaayate. The film, starring Karan Joshi, Reeva Rachh, Shruhad Goswami, Anshu Joshi, and Kinnal Nayak, has shown a rare and extraordinary box office trajectory, one that is almost unheard of for a Gujarati film. After 46 days, Laalo stands at a stunningRs 74.85 crore, inching decisively toward the Rs 75 crore milestone. What makes Laalo’s run truly fascinating is its unconventional growth pattern. The film opened modestly, putting up Rs 33 lakh in Week 1 and Rs 27 lakh in Week 2, the film exploded due to exceptional word-of-mouth from Week 3 onward. Collections rose to Rs 62 lakh in the third week, then skyrocketed in Week 4 to Rs 12.08 crore, followed by a sensational Rs 25.70 crore in Week 5. Week 6 barely dipped, closing at Rs 24.40 crore, proving Laalo’s run is driven entirely by repeat viewership and deep-rooted emotional resonance. The film’s momentum only intensified in Week 5, which delivered a massive Rs 24.7 crore, followed closely by another strong week 6 at Rs 24.9 crore and it added Rs 9.95 crore in the 7th weekend. And on day 46 ( Monday) the film added Rs 1.50 crore thereby taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 74.85 crore. For a Gujarati-language film to maintain this level of momentum even in the 7th week is truly extraordinary. With its total currently atRs 74.85 crore, Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate is on the cusp of entering the coveted Rs 75 crore club, a rare feat for Gujarati cinema. In every sense, Laalo is not just a hit-it’s a historic moment for the industry, it has already become the highest grossing Gujarati film and is slowly climbing the charts of biggest successes of the year across languages .
