StarDream Cruises introduces Bhajan Jamming experience aboard genting dream sailings

StarDream Cruises has announced the introduction of a Bhajan Jamming experience onboard Genting Dream, bringing a participatory devotional music format to cruise travel. The initiative marks a first-of-its-kind concept at sea, blending community-led spiritual engagement with leisure cruising.

The themed sailings are scheduled for 26 May and 9 June 2026 and will operate as three-night itineraries from Singapore to Phuket and back. The onboard sessions are designed to replicate the open and immersive format of Bhajan Jamming, where participants collectively sing familiar devotional songs in an informal setting.

Unlike traditional stage-led performances, the format encourages travellers to actively participate through singing, clapping and shared musical expression. The concept has been gaining traction across India as a community-driven devotional experience that combines social interaction with spiritual engagement.

Commenting on the concept, Naresh Rawal, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, said: “What makes Bhajan Jamming special is that it’s participatory and collective. It is not about watching a performance, it is about being part of the music. Bringing that same format to sea creates quite a different setting for it. When travelers step away from their everyday routines, moments like these naturally allow them to slow down, reconnect, and share the experience together.”

Positioned within a cruise environment, the experience offers a distinct setting for such gatherings. Surrounded by open waters and removed from daily routines, the format is intended to create a shared space where travellers engage collectively rather than as spectators.

The initiative reflects a broader trend in experiential travel, where cruise operators are incorporating themed and culturally immersive programmes to enhance onboard engagement. By introducing Bhajan Jamming at sea, StarDream Cruises is expanding its experiential offerings while catering to evolving traveller preferences for meaningful and participatory activities.
