Kunickaa Sadanand DEFENDS Pranit More amid Rs 370 biryani row

Salman Khan's co-star Kunickaa Sadanand DEFENDS Pranit More amid Rs 370 biryani controversy: 'You are a good boy with right values'

As stand-up comedian Pranit More issues his second apology in the Rs 370 biryani controversy, actor and ‘Bigg Boss 19’ co-contestant Kunickaa Sadanand has come to his defence. She urged people to forgive him while acknowledging that the incident reflects a deeper, generational problem in society’s attitude towards women.

Kunickaa Sadanand comes to Pranit More’s defence

Salman Khan’s co-star from ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’, Kunickaa Sadanand, who appeared alongside Pranit on ‘Bigg Boss 19’, stepped into the comments section of his apology video to offer her support. She wrote, “Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone has the courage to own it. @rj_pranit you are a good boy, with right values, but as I always said roasting or crowd work can carry you away, especially as an entertainer, when you see ppl reacting and laughing. I hope ppl forgive you, and I also hope ppl change their attitude towards women/girls.”She further added, “You were not the cause of a generational mindset, you were one of the many who inherited this mindset from generations of objectification. God bless you, I’m sure you will be back with brilliant content. Stay strong stay mindful.”

Comment

The controversy has drawn reactions from several celebrities, with opinions remaining sharply divided on both Pranit’s conduct and the sincerity of his apologies.

Pranit More’s second apology

Pranit More addressed the controversy through a video statement on Saturday, explaining that he wanted to speak out sooner but was temporarily unable to do so as his Instagram account had been suspended. In the video, he admitted that failing to intervene was a major mistake, saying, “I gave him a platform, which caused things to escalate so much.”

What is the Rs 370 biryani controversy?

The controversy erupted after a clip from Pranit More’s show went viral, featuring 23-year-old Himanshu Jangra recounting a date where he paid Rs 370 for a plate of chicken biryani and claimed he deserved a “return” on his investment. “Maine kaha 370 rupay lage hain, main wasool toh karunga (I spent Rs 370, so I have to get something back),” Jangra said on the show. The Gurgaon-based man went on to describe how he debated taking the woman back to his room and eventually insisted that she accompany him to a “dark” park despite her repeatedly expressing reluctance. Pranit More laughed at the remarks and gave Jangra the platform to continue, which drew widespread outrage on social media. Himanshu had subsequently apologised for his comments. Go to Source
