Nandita Godbole, General Manager – Marketing and Customer Experience, Mercedes-Benz IndiaMercedes-Benz India on Monday announced a series of leadership changes in its Sales and Marketing function as the luxury carmaker looks to deepen its focus on AI-driven customer experiences, data-led decision-making and retail finance integration.
The organisational changes, effective September 1, 2026, include new appointments across marketing, retail finance, product planning, and sales planning, as well as facilitating global mobility for senior executives.
Under the new structure, Nandita Godbole, currently General Manager, Digital Customer Unit, will take over as Head of Marketing, succeeding Amrit Baid.
Amrit Baid, General Manager – Retail Finance & Pre-Owned Cars business, Mercedes-Benz IndiaBaid will lead the company’s Retail Finance and Pre-Owned Cars business, while Jamsheed Bhadha, General Manager, Product Planning and Sales Planning, will move to a new role within Mercedes-Benz in Dubai.
He will be succeeded by Sanjay Kochar, currently General Manager, TEV & BEV Sales.
Mercedes-Benz said the changes reflect its increasing emphasis on enhancing customer experience through real-time data, artificial intelligence and stronger integration of financing solutions into the customer journey, while continuing to develop internal talent through cross-functional leadership opportunities.

As the new Head of Marketing, Godbole will be responsible for expanding the company’s use of AI, predictive analytics and real-time customer insights to deliver more personalised customer engagement across the ownership lifecycle.
Mercedes-Benz said she has played a key role in driving the company’s digital customer initiatives by transforming disconnected customer touchpoints into a more seamless, AI-enabled experience.
Meanwhile, Baid will head the Retail Finance and Pre-Owned Cars business after leading several high-profile marketing campaigns, including Dreams Day, Wish Box and G-Tribe.
The company said its retail finance arm now supports more than 50 per cent of total vehicle sales through financing programmes such as Star Agility and has built a portfolio exceeding ₹15,000 crore.
