Karan Joshi REVEALS how 'Laalo' changed his life; says, 'People take me seriously now'

‘Laalo—Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ became a very big success that nobody expected. The Gujarati film crossed Rs 100 crores and was later released in Hindi too.For actor Karan Joshi, this film changed many things in his life. He clearly says in a recent interview, “It has definitely changed my life because now people have started taking me more seriously as an actor.” The love the film got made him feel seen and respected for his work.

Childhood dream and theater days

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Karan says he wanted to become an actor from a very young age, even when he did not fully understand how. He shared, “I wanted to be an actor since I was a child, but I didn’t know how.”In 2016, theater came into his life. That time was not easy. He explains how they did experimental theater without pay. Karan speaks very honestly about what acting meant to him back then. He says, “I used to sleep really well during play rehearsals and after the performance.” Even when he had no money, acting made him happy. He adds, “Something inside me would say, ‘I did a great job today.’” After Laalo, work started coming. He now feels excited and hopeful. He says, “Right now, I have to act because I can sleep well at night.” Acting gives him peace like nothing else.

Choosing only heartfelt work

Talking about future plans, Karan is very clear. He says, “As an actor, my plan is to do only what I like.” He wants roles that touch the heart. He wants challenging characters like Laalo. He shares, “I should play all the characters with so much heart and honesty.”For now, Karan’s only plan is simple. He wants to do good work and leave a small impact with every role.
