‘Jolly LLB 3’ inches towards Rs 100 crore

‘Jolly LLB 3’ box office collection day 12: The Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi starrer sees growth on second Tuesday despite Durga Ashtami, inches towards Rs 100 crore

Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla starrer ‘Jolly LLB 3’ is now inching towards Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office. The film had a decent opening of more than Rs 10 crore which is good as this isn’t the kind of movie where one needed a blockbuster opening. It was more of a word of mouth movie which eventually saw growth over the weekend. Despite the Navratri days, it continued to maintain momentum all through the week and also did see a jump over the second weekend. On Monday which is day 11 though, the film saw a decline in numbers which was expected. On Tuesday, it was Durga Ashtami. Despite the ‘puja’ and ‘garba nights’ till late, the film saw growth on day 12, Tuesday perhaps due to the fact that tickets are at discounted rates in some national chain theatres. ‘Jolly LLB 3’ made Rs 12.5 crore on day 1. On Saturday, it made Rs 20 crore and on Sunday it made Rs 21 crore. On Monday, it was expected that the movie will see a drop. The good part is, despite the dip on Monday, it saw growth on Tuesday and benefitted from the discounted ticket rates in most parts on that day. The Tuesday which is day 5 number is quite decent considering the ongoing Navratri festivities. It made Rs 5.5 crore on day 4. On Tuesday, the collection according to Sacnilk is Rs 6.5 crore. On day 6 which is Wednesday, the film made Rs 4.5 crore which was a decline from the Tuesday numbers. Now on day 7, Thursday, it has made Rs 4 crore. With that, ‘Jolly LLB 3’ now completes a week at the box office. The week one collection of the movie is Rs 74 crore. On day 8, which is Friday, the movie has made just as the Thursday number which is Rs 4 crore. On Saturday, it saw a growth of around 73 percent and made Rs 6.5 crore. It made a similar number on Sunday. On Monday, the film made around Rs 2.75 crore. On day 12, the collection is Rs 3.75 crore. The total number of the film at the domestic box office stands at Rs 97 crore. With that the film has become the 4th biggest Akshay Kumar grosser since the pandemic, beating ‘Kesari 2’. Meanwhile, ‘Jolly LLB 3’ is also facing competition from Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi’s ‘They Call Me OG’. On October 2, on Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra, one will see the release of two new movies – ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ and ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, which will give ‘Jolly LLB 3’ a tough competition. But one hopes it manages to cross Rs 100 crore till Friday. Day wise collection of ‘Jolly LLB 3’:Day 1 [1st Friday] ₹ 12.5 Cr -Day 2 [1st Saturday] ₹ 20 CrDay 3 [1st Sunday] ₹ 21 CrDay 4 [1st Monday] ₹ 5.5 CrDay 5 [1st Tuesday] ₹ 6.5 CrDay 6 [1st Wednesday] ₹ 4.5 CrDay 7 [1st Thursday] ₹ 4 CrWeek 1 Collection ₹ 74 Cr -Day 8 [2nd Friday] ₹ 3.75 CrDay 9 [2nd Saturday] ₹ 6.5 CrDay 10 [2nd Sunday] ₹ 6.25 CrDay 11 [2nd Monday]₹ 2.75 Cr-56.00%Day 12 [2nd Tuesday]₹ 3.75 Cr * early estimates-Total₹ 97.00 Cr
