Jibin Gopinath joins Vetri Maaran’s 'Arasan' with a surprise entry; the 'Kalamkaval' actor calls it a dream debut

Malayalam actor Jibin Gopinath makes a surprise debut in Vetri Maaran’s ‘Arasan’, starring Silambarasan TR and Vijay Sethupathi. Gopinath described the opportunity as a dream come true, praising Vetri Maaran’s direction and the supportive cast. He expressed excitement about his significant role alongside the lead actors in the ‘Vada Chennai’ universe film.

Director Vetri Maaran’s upcoming film ‘Arasan’ is creating a strong buzz among fans. The film stars Silambarasan TR in the lead and features Vijay Sethupathi in a key role. Adding to the excitement, Malayalam actor Jibin Gopinath has now joined the cast. The film is reportedly set in the ‘Vada Chennai’ universe and is currently shooting in Chennai. Jibin’s addition has brought fresh attention to the project.

Jibin Gopinath opens up on surprise entry into ‘Arasan’

As per Cinema Express, Jibin Gopinath shared that his entry into ‘Arasan’ came as a complete surprise. “I was in Trivandrum when I got a call about a Tamil film, but they didn’t tell me anything at first,” he said. He added, “When I asked who the director was and they said Vetri Maaran sir, I was genuinely stunned. It felt unreal.” Within a week, things moved fast, and he joined the shoot. “Getting a chance in a Vetri sir film is something you don’t even dream about,” he said, expressing his excitement.

Working with Vetri Maaran and facing language challenges

Speaking about working with Vetri Maaran, Jibin said it has been a great learning experience. “He makes actors feel very comfortable and explains every scene clearly,” he shared. Since this is his first Tamil film, Jibin admitted he was nervous initially. “I was a bit tense because of the language, but the team helped me a lot and gave me time to learn,” he said. He also spoke about his admiration for the director’s films, saying, “It’s hard to pick one favorite; every film of his has made a strong impact on me.”

Jibin also opened up about acting alongside Silambarasan TR and Vijay Sethupathi. “My first scene itself was with Silambarasan sir, and that was a big moment for me,” he said. He praised the actor, adding, “He is a brilliant performer and very down-to-earth. There is no star attitude at all.” Jibin also shared his excitement about working with Vijay Sethupathi, calling it a special opportunity. Though he remained tight-lipped about the specifics of his character, he did offer, “It’s a strong and important character,” which only heightened the significance of his appearance in ‘Arasan.’ Go to Source
