Jason Momoa has stepped away from ‘Helldivers,’ the upcoming video game adaptation directed by Justin Lin. The film remains dated for Nov. 10, 2027, but the team is now looking for a new lead star and other cast members. No reason has been given for Momoa’s exit from the sci-fi action project, which is based on the popular shooter-style game franchise from Arrowhead Game Studios.

Jason Momoa exits ‘Helldivers’ movie

According to Variety, Momoa’s casting in ‘Helldivers’ was first announced in February.
