Jaclyn Smith shares beauty secret at Paley Gala

Jaclyn Smith reveals 'clean living, being loved' as her beauty secret at Paley Gala

Jaclyn Smith has a beauty secret, and it has nothing to do with skincare routines, supplements, or exercise regimens. The ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star, 80, attended the 2026 Paley Honors Spring Gala at The Plaza Hotel in New York City on May 14 alongside her costar Kate Jackson, and when asked the question fans have long wanted answered, her response was as refreshing as it was unexpected.Speaking to Fox News on the red carpet, Smith said simply, “Clean living, being loved.” She continued, “I have the best family in the whole wide world to grow up with. Great husband, two beautiful children, three granddaughters. So, it doesn’t get better than that. It’s all about love, all about family with me.” Smith has been married to surgeon Brad Allen since 1997.

The gala included a 50th anniversary salute to ‘Charlie’s Angels’, the beloved series that ran from 1976 to 1981. Smith shared photographs from the evening on Instagram shortly after, including several in which she posed alongside Jackson, 77.”Kate and I were so lucky to attend and accept this on behalf of our Charlie’s Angels family, continuing in our celebration of 50 years since the launch of the series,” she wrote alongside the images. “Grateful doesn’t begin to encompass how I feel to have been and continue to be a part of that legacy.” Jackson and Smith originally starred alongside the late Farrah Fawcett in the first season of ‘Charlie’s Angels’ in 1976, before Fawcett departed at the end of the season. Cheryl Ladd later replaced Fawcett in the second season and remained on the show until its 1981 conclusion. The gala appearance came just weeks after the duo and Ladd, 74, reunited at PaleyFest’s 50th anniversary celebration of the show in Los Angeles on April 6.

Jaclyn Smith on her style icon status and new book

Also on the red carpet, the outlet asked Smith whether she had any idea she was becoming a style icon when she first started on the show. “When I was starting out, no,” she replied. “But I guess we did pave the way for some glamour and looking at women in a different way. We sort of paved that way for new roles for women.”Smith’s beauty secret reveal comes as she prepares to open up further in the pages of her upcoming memoir, ‘I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie’, set to hit bookshelves in September. She previously told PEOPLE why she decided to write the book. “People have often asked me to share behind-the-scenes stories, and in these pages, you will find plenty,” she said. “But there is another goal I had in writing this book. And that is to finally let others see the girl behind the image.”Smith’s upcoming memoir, ‘I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie’, is set to release in September, alongside continued engagement with retrospective celebrations of her work.
