Jaafar Jackson reveals the one Michael Jackson dance move he struggled to master: 'Challenge hitting every moment'

Michael Jackson was one of the biggest and most celebrated pop star icons of the century, and even years after his passing, he is remembered by many. To celebrate his legacy, his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, recently starred in a Michael Jackson biopic titled after his first name. Talking about filming for the movie and learning how to dance, the actor revealed which moves he had to learn and which were the hardest for him.

While talking to Access Hollywood at the recent premiere of ‘Michael’, Jaafar opened up about portraying his famed uncle in the film and what all were the hardest parts. The pop sensation who had hits such as ‘Thriller’, ‘Smooth Criminal’, and ‘Rock With You’ was known for his dance moves, which his nephew cited were the hardest parts.Talking about learning some of the most iconic moves from his uncle, Jackson also talked about what was the hardest to learn, citing that it was “Definitely the spins, which I was struggling with the most out of all the moves, I would say.” While talking about the biggest challenge for filming the dance scenes, he added, “So, building the stamina was difficult, and making sure that take one and take 25 still have the same energy. ”

The star also opened up about which musical performance was the hardest to do in the film. On a separate occasion, while talking with Entertainment Tonight, he revealed that filming for ‘Billy Jean’ was one of the most challenging takes of the film.“I would say probably Billy Jean, Motown 25.” He added that he wanted to get the performance as accurate and close to the real deal as he possibly could. “Um, and that one was tough because trying to stick to that, you know, frame by frame, but also not coming across as just trying to mimic but still embodying the performance and being believable while sticking to that structure.”That was a challenge, you know, hitting every moment, every beat. Also having the energy and the showmanship behind the moves, too, which was a challenge,” he added.‘Michael’ will officially hit theatres worldwide on April 24. Go to Source
