Ishaan Khatter responds to question on his religion, the 'Homebound' actor says, 'Jai Jesus, Shree Allah, Holy Spirit Di Fateh'

Ishaan Khatter has a huge fan following on social media, more so, since his web-series, ‘The Royals’. The actor who made his debut with ‘Beyond The Clouds’ and later ‘Dhadak’, was also a part of ‘Phone Bhoot’, ‘Pippa’ and ‘The Perfect Couple’. The actor was last seen in ‘Homebound’ which was shortlisted for the Oscars. Ishaan recently had an interactive session with his fans on Instagram. In this ‘Ask Me Anything’ session, a fan asked a question regarding his religion. The question read, “Your religion, I mean I am getting confused.”Rather than offering a straightforward response, the actor chose a playful blend of references from different faiths. He replied, “Jai Jesus, Shree Allah, Holy Spirit Di Fateh.” For those not in the know, this is a popular meme. Moments later, Ishaan followed up with a more reflective message, sharing what he believes in beyond labels. “Nature, kindness, humanity, creation,” he wrote.Accompanying the answer, was a scenic photograph of the actor standing against a stunning backdrop dotted with hot-air balloons.Ishaan comes from a family with diverse cultural roots. His mother, veteran actor and classical dancer Neelima Azeem, was raised in a Muslim household, while his father, actor Rajesh Khattar, belongs to a Punjabi Hindu family.Ishaan and Shahid Kapoor are half-brothers through their mother, Neelima Azeem, while Shahid is the son of her first husband, acclaimed actor Pankaj Kapur.
