Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan was given a warm welcome to Birmingham on Saturday, as hundreds of her adoring fans gathered at Soho Road, just for a chance to get a glimpse of her.

The actress brought the area to a standstill as she attended a store launch event in the city. Much to her surprise, fans flocked to the location and crowded the streets for up to 3 hours, just to catch a glimpse of her as she took to the stage for the event that also included some song and dance programs.

Dressed to impress

Bebo walked to the venue in a glittering silver saree and halter-top blouse. Overwhelmed with the turnout, she was seen smiling, waving and interacting with her fans at the event. While making her way to the stage, she even stopped for photos and also signed autographs for her fans who were chanting her name. In a video doing the rounds online, Kareena was also seen greeting the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Zafar Iqbal, as she made her way through the crowds.

Bebo took to the stage for a fun Q and A session and also broke into a dace, as part of the activities. Expressing her gratitude to all those who attended the event, she said, “Hello Birmingham, thank you for so much love. It is always such a pleasure to see my fans. I performed here 15–20 years ago for a show called Heart Throbs, and it was such a hit that we returned for a second time. I love you guys.” During the event, the actress took part in a quiz, in which she had to break into a dance for each wrong answer. Much to her fans’ delight, she had to dance to two of her hit songs. Interestingly, she manged to nail the choreography to both tracks, sending the audience into a frenzy.When not in the UK on work commitments, Kareena and her family – hubby Saif Ali Khan and sons Taimur and Jeh are often seen spending their summers in the English countryside, holidaying with family and friends.
